What is the southernmost latitude that an aurora can be seen in the northern hemisphere?

Under some severe geomagnetic storms, aurora have been seen all the way to the equator, but that is rare indeed and perhaps a one time per solar activity cycle event if you happen to be in the right location with perfect skies.
